We are seeking an experienced EIA Project Manager for an exciting role in Glasgow or Edinburgh.


About the job:


You'll be joining an award-winning national environmental consultancy that is committed to delivering positive impacts for people and nature.

As Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Project Manager you would be working with specialist internal teams, external consultants and high-profile clients on an interesting range of projects across the UK, including wind energy developments, electricity transmission infrastructure, mixed use development and other land development projects.


Thanks to the company's excellent reputation, they have a strong client base and diverse portfolio of EIA projects for you to become involved with. Your role would include:

  • Contributing to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) tendering and business development activities, particularly focussing on renewable energy in Wales and potentially Scotland and England.

  • Managing EIA projects including liaising with project team members, clients and external organisations and representing the company at meetings and consultation events.

  • Overseeing the production of EIA Reports and ESs, including writing and review of report chapters, figures and appendices.

  • Managing EIA Report/ ES review work and reviewing draft review reports.

Office base can be Edinburgh or Glasgow, with the company offering attractive hybrid and flexible working options including the option to WFH 3 days per week.


Salary for this role is circa £39,000 - £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus excellent benefits including:

About you:


To apply for this role you will need:

  • A relevant degree and/or professional qualification with professional membership (IEMA, IES or RTPI)

  • A strong background (5+ years) in EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) work

  • The ability to manage projects of all sizes including large, complex projects, and have a good understanding of the wider planning system.

  • Line management or team development experience
