About the Role
We're looking for a Senior or Principal Drainage Engineer to play a pinnacle part in the expansion of an established Hydrology team into new locations.
With opportunities to work on high profile projects and drive technical delivery; team leadership; and commercial success, this role offers both visibility and impact in spades!
Joining a supportive and highly collaborative team within a mid-sized multidisicplinary environmental planning consultancy in Manchester, this appointment represents a key hire at an exciting time in the business.
You'll enjoy a varied workload across drainage strategies, design input, and stakeholder consultation; spanning a range of sectors including infrastructure, development, and environmental.

Salary between £45,000 - £65,000 (negotiable for the right candidate) plus benefits including:

Who we're looking for:
✔ Drainage Engineers / Civil Engineers specialising in drainage (Senior to Principal level) with 5–7+ years’ UK experience
✔ Familiar with drainage guidance (e.g., DCG / Building Regs) and design tools (Causeway Flow / PDS / CAD)
✔ Comfortable engaging with water authorities and advising clients
✔ Section agreements knowledge (S104 / S38 / S185 etc.) - 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦
✔ Eligible to live and work in the UK without sponsorship or restrictions
