About the job:
You'll be working for an award-winning consultancy striving for sustainable development, climate change mitigation, and resilience.
As Senior / Principal Landscape Planner you'd be responsible for project managing and leading delivery of projects including design and assessment of renewable energy projects (onshore and offshore wind, solar and battery storage), routeing and assessment of strategically important electricity transmission infrastructure, landscape character and sensitivity assessments, green infrastructure strategies and landscape designation reviews, and research projects.
You'll be collaborating and knowledge-sharing with talented and experienced colleagues in planning, design, EIA, historic environment, ecology, GIS, visualisation, and transport.
You'll also be involved in and responsible for:
Liaising with and forming a point of contact for clients, and internal and external team members
Providing high quality project outputs (including written reports)
Recruitment and line management of consultant level colleagues
Contributing to tenders, pricing exercises and business development
This role can be full-time (37.5 hours per week) or part-time (30 hours per week) if preferred.
You would be working on a hybrid basis, working remotely up to 3 days per week, with some travel required for site work and visits to other offices.

Salary for the role is £32,000 - £48,000 per annum, with annual salary reviews, profit sharing bonuses, 25 days annual leave (plus bank hols and options to buy and sell extra holiday) and life insurance, among other benefits.
About you:
For this role we are seeking at least 3+ years experience in Landscape Architecture, with a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
You will need previous experience managing and delivering LVIA projects, and experience with some or all related aspects (e.g. Seascape, Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment, Townscape and Visual Impact Assessment, Residential Visual Amenity Assessment, Aviation Lighting Impact Assessment etc.)
You'll also need experience / strong skills in:
Work winning or contributing to bids
Client & external team member / partner liaison
Report writing
Field work & photography
A full UK driving licence
Eligibility to live and work in the UK
