About the Role

Feeling Stuck in Your Current Planning Role?

Ready for Something More?

You've been working as a Planner for a while now - whether you're a Principal, Senior, or Junior Planner, you've got a solid understanding of the industry.

Maybe you've even achieved your Chartership, or you're well on your way. You're preparing planning applications, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, maybe even managing sub-consultants - but something's missing.

Maybe you've probably started to feel like the work you're doing just isn't taking you anywhere. Perhaps your current role feels more like a routine than a real career path. Or maybe you've grown as much as you can in your current role, and are ready for the next step up.

Here's your chance to make a move into a role where you're not just an employee, but a co-owner, working for a company that truly values collaboration, shared success, and sustainable growth.

A role where your expertise isn't just acknowledged, but actually drives strategic, large-scale projects that make an impact in industries like renewable energy, waste management, and commercial developments.

Joining a busy, dynamic planning team on a hybrid basis from Leeds, you'll handle a diverse range of projects, from energy infrastructure (solar, battery, wind, hydrogen) to waste and mineral schemes. You'll work closely with Chartered Planners, Landscape Architects, and clients to deliver exciting, high-impact projects.

You'll get to:

  • Co-ordinate and prepare planning applications and environmental impact assessments

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders

  • Be involved in land promotion, detailed development management and project delivery

  • Provide strategic and tactical planning advice to clients, undertake site appraisals and manage sub-consultants (at Senior levels).

And it doesn't stop there. As an employee-owned business, you get a stake in the company's success. That means you're not just working to meet someone else's targets - you're actively contributing to your own growth and prosperity.

Who You Are:

  • RTPI qualified with a Degree/Masters in Planning (or equivalent)

  • Experience in the energy, waste, minerals, or commercial sectors

  • Knowledge of the planning system and environmental impact assessments

  • Strong communication and client relationship-building skills

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively within a team or independently

If you're ready to move beyond the routine and take on new challenges with a company that values you as a partner, not just an employee, we'd love to hear from you.
