You'll be working on everything from residential regeneration to healthcare, leisure and education facilities, to commercial developments - but always with a focus on how design improves real people’s lives. Think biodiversity restoration, carbon reduction, and spaces that boost mental wellbeing.
𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨-𝐨𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐩
50+ urban designers, landscape architects and other placemakers who genuinely collaborate and work well together (daily breaks to meet and chat with colleagues are a big part of life here). You’ll become an employee owner through the Employee Owned Trust, so your work directly contributes to your stake in the company.
𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮

𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐥𝐥 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥
You’ll be managing projects, client relationships and guiding junior staff. But you won’t be thrown in the deep end - you'll be mentored - not just 'trained' - and supported by amazing colleagues who will nurture your strengths, encourage your creativity, and champion the interchange of ideas.
The honest bit:
This isn’t for everyone. You need to genuinely care about creating spaces that serve communities and the planet, and be passionate about working toward a more equitable and greener future.
You'll also ideally be in the early stages of starting to develop your own client contacts / undertake business development, OR have a strong interest in doing so.
You'll also need:
‣ 6+ years Urban Design experience in a UK consultancy, ideally with a planning specialism / robust understanding of the planning process
‣ Excellent design and presentation skills with a high attention to detail, as showcased in your portfolio
‣ Some experience mentoring / guiding / leading juniors
‣ Strong communication skills (both visually and verbally)
‣ Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
